What We Stand For.
The Boxed Art Gallery is an online art gallery made for the communities of Tufts University, Medford, Somerville, and Boston.
Our main goal is to provide artists with the opportunity to share their artwork on a professional platform in a time where many traditional galleries are closed as a result of COVID-19. With over 100 pieces already submitted, anyone from the Tufts, Medford, Somerville, or Boston communities, is highly encouraged to submit their art work to the Boxed Art Gallery.
With topics such as COVID-19, systemic racial oppression, economic inequality, and a slew of other issues coming to the forefront, we believe that such a platform to share powerful art is more important now than ever.
Above all else, we believe in giving emerging and practicing artists the opportunities and inclusivity they deserve, but so rarely find, in today’s art world.
Who We Are.
Ned Carlson
Ned Carlson is a student at Tufts University in the Combined Degree Program, receiving a B.A. and B.F.A. from the School of Arts and Sciences in Medford and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ned is the founder, director, and head curator of the Boxed Art Gallery.
